Snowdrop Earrings

The Snow Drop Earrings. I made these hand-fabricated snow drops on Imbolc, when  the season of transition was not far ahead. Soon it will be that time when there are snow flurries landing on the first spring growth, and the sap is running in the east. These earrings are an ode to that border season when white melts into green. Symbols of spring and new beginnings in the Celtic culture. 

These are hand-fabricated from recycled sterling silver--hand sawed petals, fused together. They are rustic, organic, imperfect, and just the way I like my jewelry.

*Note* All of my pieces are entirely handmade, which gives them natural variation (even between an earring pair) and 100% uniqueness. The handmade nature of the piece also means that there will be natural imperfections. It is this quality that I think gives each piece character and depth.
